Yep me too, it started at about 14:27:20 on my Windoze box and at 15:00:00 on my Linux box. Two different p.c's and two different OS's.
Looking on Google they had the same post on SETI@HOME forums for Berkeley when the server couldn't send or accept uploads of work units. We might have to see if one of the Tech guys is working on a Sunday Fingers crossed Jacko |

I don't know what is going on, but the server runs a weekly wrapup on Sunday and Sunday is often used for maintenance. My BOINC computer got the 'shared memory' error when it tried to download at 6:27 AM UTC this morning. It tried again at 7:27 AM UTC and succeeded. Since then all downloads and uploads have worked on my computer. I just uploaded some results a few minutes ago.

Yep my Linux box just uploaded its last result and then straight back to the error message project down shared memory issue when it tried to get new work.
ROFL my wifes poor old Windoze box is just sat there looking pretty dumb at the moment with no work now for the best part of 3 hours I'm down to my last WU on the Linux box and bearing in mind it polishes of a FAAH WU in a shade under 4 hours I'll be dry on 2 p.c's in about 3 hours 20 minutes. Lets hope that it is essential maintenance or downtime and it'll be back up soon, I can live with essential and routine and downtime I just hate not crunching. Jacko |

I have emailed the WCG staff. Normally they are paged in the event of a server failure. Clearly something is wrong. It will be fixed by tomorrow, hopefully sooner.
