Excellent....start with the screensaver (the hook), then new members discover the throttle and want to up it (the line)...and finally the addiction kicks in discovering it can be even faster with BOINC (the sinker).

Sek I think I'll start a page on www.wcgwiki.org we could really use sticky's on the forum for announcements and such but hey this forum has to be resilient and the guys at IBM are a tad busy as ever readying new research projects

PS why not collect them all in a 'Autumns' Grid News thread always the contrarian, i would like to point out that screensavers are not everyones favorite flavor of pie, and as a hook it leaves much to be desired. it still seems a bit to phony to me, maybe disingenous is the word i want ? i keep wanting to read a more direct, incisive explanation, of How it Works, What Happens with Your Computer and The Contribution You will be Making. p.s. Life is Good |
