Nice to see.
----------------------------------------I'm curious, how does it work? Is the WCG service sold to a lab or is it a freebie? How do companies approach the WCG to have their work tested, etc? Thanks, Curious Dave ![]() ![]() |

Hi Movieman,
All the legal details are in http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/projects_showcase/viewSubmitAProposal.do where you can download proposal forms, etc., in PDF format. Basically, a research organization has to propose a project that passes scrutiny with the Board of Advisors, then sign the contract (see Letter of Agreement in the contract terms) to make all the results public domain. The WCG is run as a 'freebie'. We provide free computing in exchange for the research project making the results public domain, without retaining any rights, as explained in the contract. Lawrence |

Lawrence Thanks for the info. You answered all my questions. It's nice to see it done this way in this "dog eat dog" world we live in. ![]() ![]() |
