Connecting To The WCG

I am unable to connecting to the Grid using my laptop at work. I can only connect with it when I am at home. While at work, I can surf the web using IE. I have tried the proxy used in my IE, but it does not require a port. How can I determine what the correct setting are to connect to the WCG at work?

Hi joetaylen
Welcome to the Forum.

I'm sure I and others could use a little more info.
Like
Do you connect the same at home as you do at work?
And is it through a proxy server, router or shared connection.
Do you have an ADMIN at your work?
etc.

Re: Connecting To The WCG

One thing to examine is that if you are having troubles connecting you should check to see if your work environment has Internet Explorer configured to use a automatic configuration script. If this is the case then there are likely different proxy rules based upon your computers IP address. You should talk to your local admin about what proxy server and port you should be using.

Thanks for participating.
