Hi, I know there is cpu throttling and I'm wondering if there is any veriable that can restrict the ammount of ram that the client uses. I run a lot of stuff on my laptop (I use it as more of a server) and one of the things I server is a game server, and I really don't like cutting off wcg just because of the ram it takes up. The 40-50MB range is much better than the 90 to 100 it's using.

Sadly, WCG already uses as little memory as possible. Further reductions would require increasing amounts of work by the programmers for ever decreasing returns.
All of the current projects have high (to very high) memory requirements. This doesn't mean that future projects won't have lower requirements. No promises, though. |
