I'm headed out of town for 2 or 3 days and am shutting down most of my pc's. Good crunching all and I'll be back to full speed soon.

Hey team. Just checking in. I have been hit by the "idle" agent problem, and consequently dropped back to only 2 CPU running WCG. I'm disappointed that I worked my way right up to the top 1000 members boundary, only to get shut down by an unreasonable (3/4 GB) RAM requirement for cancer crunching. Never-the-less, it's a worthy cause, so onward and forward! Hi Lighthouse - you using the UD agent or BOINC? My computers are all Windows with UD. It took a while before I realized what was going on - I only own 3 computers that have enough RAM to run the new cancer project, so the rest were sitting idle. I moved the others to another project for a while. and yep, vaio, I do tend to go wandering from time to time. I'll be back.  |
