Since a few weeks I have the following problem. When I shutdown my PC, and start it next morning, the percentage of the job is back to zero again, and it start all over. This repeats all the time. I left my PC running during the night (twice), and then it did finnish, and I got my points, and I got a new task. But the same story repeats itself. It doesn't seem to store the results halfway. Do you have any suggestions. I'm fed up with it. The task running is Fight Aids. I had a lot of them without problems before this. I did not install anything I'm aware off, but you never know with this B.Gates stuff. (I prefer OpenVMS )Thanks for your answers in advance. René Wijkamp |

You are not the first to mention this.
It seems there are a lot of work units being sent out at the moment with few (or no) checkpoints. This means you may lose more work than normal when you shut your computer down. The only workaround is to put your PC into suspend or hibernation mode instead of shutting down completely. Try doing this for the next week or two. If you are unable to do this, and you aren't making any progress, then you should feel free to suspend your crunching for a week or so until these poorly behaving work units are out of the way. |
