I just installed WCG agent on my computer
I have configured the firewall to permit its access to WCG sever but still it fails to connect to the server After receiving several bytes of data from the sever, it just pauses. Can anyone figure out why the problem exists? |

what is the speed of your computer?
what is your amount of RAM? are all projects checked to be worked on? |

256MB RAM
AMD 1。6MHz Are these factors really related to the connection to server? |

is some of your ram used by graphics?
do you have all projects selected? |

I participate in the FightAIDS projects
I do not know whether some of my ram is used by graphics what does it necessarily mean? |

well the minimum ram for FAAH is 250 MB and you have 256, but i think some computers use part of the ram for graphics purposes so you end up really with less than 250 available.

----------------------------------------Can u specific "several bytes"......if it was saying Receiving 3xxx bytes of 3xxx bytes before the pausing, your machine is very likely not considered as able to process Help Defeat Cancer (HDC) or Fight Aids @ Home (FAAH). Plz see the System Requirements page fore exact details. ciao

Is your firewall of the McAffee variety with parental controls?
