I haven't run out of dumb moves, but I post my waffle in the Team Mensa team topic.

Here's my current dilemma. I installed WCG BOINC on a new Vista Premium Edition machine that belongs to a friend of mine. I have found that he logs off every time he gets off of the computer (exiting BOINC Manager) just as he does at work. I don't want to tell him to not log off of his own computer even if it skips the welcome screen and had no password. In order to run BOINC as a service using Task Scheduler, I need to create a user password for his account. I thought, "No problem. Just enter a password, configure to skip the welcome screen, and not require a login after the screensaver runs." It wasn't that easy. It won't let me enter a password for his account. When I get a chance, I'll drop by again and boot in Safe Mode, delete all passwords and then enter a password. Maybe that will work. One cannot run a scheduled task without a user password in XP or Vista.

I'm driving Papa's taxi to Atlanta this afternoon (130 miles each way) for Shannah's camping trip. She goes back to University of Hawaii on the 17th of August. I'll miss her, but I'll have more time on my hands. Should I blog on the WCG forum?
