This forum provides a utility to modify your forum profile.

There is no link to it, but if you are logged in, you can access/edit your profile by going to http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/myprofile

So far a couple of useful things that I have found to change there are:

1. Signature. There is a link to change your signature, so if you want certain text to always appear at the bottom of all of your posts, like some special tag line, you can define it there and it is automatically appended to all your posts (apparently even those you made before you defined your signature)

NOTE As a courtesy to other forum members, it is a good idea to keep the size of your signature relatively small, nobody likes to see a thread cluttered with huge singatures that obscure the actual words in the posts, so please keep it reasonable


2. Time zone - you can set your time zone, so that whenever you are logged in and read the forums, all the post times are automatically converted to your local time zone. That way you don't have to pay attention to the difference between your time zone and GMT. You can set this by going to the link above, and then selecting the Edit my information link at the top.

3. Country - if you specify a country, it shows up under your name on the left in the forums.




I also found a link to change your avatar, but avatars are disabled on this forum, so they currently cannot be set here.
