I think I might have misread the mood of the grid as there haven't been any takers this week
----------------------------------------Maybe everyone wants to wait for the IBM sanctioned logo's should they ever be made available. At least I tried to help get the word out but it looks like my efforts might have been in vain. "Apathy Rules - Who cares?" Wasn't quite the tagline I was expecting this week from such a motivated bunch of crunchers given the type of work we are donating our PC's towards. Don't worry, nothing important is being achieved here... I gave it my best shot. Im gonna try to whip something up. Im surprised no one has submitted anything, maybe they are all waiting till the last minute. On the subject of promoting wcg, there was an article on the front page of the paper here today about it. Its a major newspaper that alot of people read. There's a pdf of the page here:

Now if we could just get every newspaper in the country big or small to run something like it we would be set on volunteers. Sorry Dave on the competition not going well! Unfortunately I don't know how to do that stuff and I don't even know where to begin. Maybe ADA315 is right though, maybe there waiting until the last minute to put them online. Getting that final detail done. In any case don't get down. Your intentions are good, people just may be waiting or don't know how to get started on making them. Have a good weekend!!! |
