Re: Power settings for running the WCG as a screensaver

hi miksang_nh,

here a screenprint of a profile that works for me. Have u got a dual/quad core computer as u write that it works on 3 / 4 projects same time? Possible what u see is the BOINC Work Unit Cache. If 1 WU has the CPU time progressing, only 1 is processing. Thing with BOINC is, it takes automatically 100% of any time u dont use (the idle time), but should stop or slow down, if u start working.

In BOINC Manager, select Activity in the menu, and click on "Run based on preferences".

The screensaver doesn't force BOINC to start if it has been suspended in BOINC Manager.

Re: Power settings for running the WCG as a screensaver

OK, it's running again -- but now I'm leaving town.

I think the computer wasn't ever truly idle enough for boinc to kick in and check with the server to get the new settings.

I just let it sit there for a while, and it started up again.

thanks all,

John
