I am a little disappointed too actually. Only 15 people are contributing from all over India. Thats a horrible,terrible over sight right there. I know a loot of people that keep their computers ON whole day & nights to download music and such,why cant they just download WCG client and help out?. Possible reasons might be that most of people dont know about WCG. So the main thrust of people who are incharge at WCG,the ones who manage and keep the website running,these people need to make an effort to spread the word a little more here in India. I would say not only India,where ever theres a big potential for WCG they should promote it. I can only talk about India intimately,but, I am sure a lot of people from a lot of other countries can help out and feel the same.

So guys at WCG,wake up and smell the potential of India


I totally agree with Keith on this sex ratio thing. I think we need a lot of girls in here . Ofcourse that will be literally true in case of many peoples personal lives, on here. Just kidding guys . But, I abosolutely endorse this idea of getting in more girls. It will definitely have a positive effect on WCG. I have a rather simple idea but one which CAN become a lot more famous - Guys on here who have girlfriends can help out a bit to start off with,right ?. I mean their girlfriends can tell their friends and then the chain will start,I think. This is just a prototype idea if anyone is interested.

Well, it was more of a case of while announcing a BOINC poll in the BOINC agent forum isn't totally off topic, I didn't want to start/promote a discussion there that wasn't germane to a problem with BOINC. Guess I was worrying about nothing since there's not much discussion here No, I don't see this as relevant to the development of BOINC. Relevance in this case applies to those of us who use BOINC to promote its use, where appropriate of course. BOINCers on WCG are a known and definite minority but most semi-respectable new machines these days have enough capability that you'd contribute more running BOINC than UD. User skill levels are more of the deciding factor I would expect. That's the thing about computers, even if your blue jeans have holes in them (that got worn into them) and your pickup truck is rusting out, you can still easily buy a maxed-out dual-core machine with more memory, disk space and a Maserati of a CPU. Pull in your nearest luxury car dealer or five star restaurant like that and you get a whole 'nother reaction Sigh....it's been a loooong day and my brain's getting wierd on me. Not that that's really something new
