Had a friend over who's got a couple of degrees in computers and electrical engineering. [Think test pilot] Day 1 was hunting and ruling out software problems. By day 3 he narrowed it down to some hardware problems. Mouse was a sensor problem. If it had been in warranty [now well past], it'd be out now after he disemboweled it. Sensor working for now. [What did we have to lose?] Router now sporting some new wiring [at least I think that's what was happening in the guts], but looks like I'd better haunt the sales for when the jury rigging quits. Hey, I got 7 years out of it.

I'm also sporting a fresh "tune up" as he added some more cleaning software to my collection. Amazing how much better I run without all those registry errors. And a new flash drive to hold my manuscript as the RW CDs weren't doing the job. Now I can move between main machine and backup without having to e-mail myself.

Sure is nice to light the fires and roll the tires.

GOT to keep crunching. Friend's husband just learned his mother is dying of cancer. They thought it was a stroke and found 3 places in the brain. Still have no clue where point of origin was, but it's too late now.

Physical therapists beat me up today. May not be back on. I have ouchies

Still crunching. Stopped by on a bathroom break to say nighty night. 2 glasses of wine helped with the aches. Haven't checked the pie lately as it seemed to be lagging behind the results turning in.
