My computer has been processing nearly non-stop. I restart my WinXP computer nearly every weekday, but have never had my system crash (at least not in recent memory). My UD agent has been working fine until HPF2. Now it works and works and I am not getting any credit for it. I just changed the settings in my device manager profile to process the Fight AIDS project, but of course that hasn't had time to take effect. My agent is currently at 85% after 13h 30m. Since HPF2 I have seen it work on a single WU for >80h, but did not pay attention to when/if it was returned successfully.

just to be clear, are you saying that your machine does finish the results but you are not getting credit?

Hello SCraig,
Yes, there are still some bugs in HPF2. Here is the thread in which we report problem units so that the staff can use them in debugging - http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=7868 Also, there are some posts in Known Issues: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=7744 It's too bad that we are running into some bugs, but that happens early in a project. Rick Alther is conspicuosly absent from the Forum, so I am sure that he is overworked trying to track the bugs down.Lawrence |

If its still on that HPF2, you have to kill the UD_7xxxx.exe process in Taskmanager in order to fetch an FAAH per your amended profile.

Possibly the same thing that happens to me when I close the client for what ever reason. Like a reboot after a windows update. When I restart the program I am back to 0%.
----------------------------------------Not to good of a program if you ask me. So if you reboot every day perhaps you are killing your work init. ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by MLCBA at Aug 30, 2006 10:01:32 PM] |

Hello MLCBA,
HPF2 was withdrawn for debugging last month ( http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=8062 ). If you are still running HPF2 units, kill them. Lawrence |
