Question on USB Wireless Lock

Hi

I'm thinking of getting one of those USB Wireless locks for my PC running BOINC and BoincView and Winders XP. This is in order to keep my machine turned on and crunching but locked against unauthorized use.

Has anyone had any experience of one of these gizmos and if so, will my machine carry on crunching when locked?

Your experiences of these things would be appreciated, or is there an alternative? cool

Re: Question on USB Wireless Lock

To lock a Windows machine, press Win+L. You must have a password set, of course. The computer can only be unlocked by the user who locked it or an administrator.

Your computer will crunch while locked.

There is an option to configure BOINC to run as a service. In that case BOINC will crunch workunits even if nobody is logged in.
So if you startup your pc and walk away BOINC will start crunching when "Ctrl-Alt-Del to start" is displayed.

I don't know if this is what you want, or do you want to block your computer for anyone trying to log-on?
