APO01, interpretation of your log is, that according the BOINC scheduler, either the time for WCG was used up, so the next project gets its share, or the Einstein WU is the one nearest due, thus getting priority. There is no 'Earliest ....overcomitted' message there, so guess its the time used by WCG factor. Did you have any new WU's downloaded just prior to the task reporting? If not, that's often a hint if you have too much work in your queue. Maybe post a bit more of your log from prior to this event.

Your specs are fine... your BOINC version 5.4.10 is not listed in the official Download table of BOINC....there's 5.4.9 for Linux (if Debian is a version of that).

The situation is like I described before, I do have several WCG processing, apperantly doing nothing on my system.
It's odd there is no 5.4.10 on the boinc website. I'll post a question on this at debian and boinc (debian is indeed a linux flavour). Below the complete log since the last restart.

APO01, looks like same problem as your first post in this thread... WCG is being paused every hour or so, but except for the first time (7.5.06 8:52), never being (re)started, at least i dont see it. Could very well be miscomms between the WCG science and the BOINCmgr.

Unless someone else picks up on this, i'll have a look again tomorrow....time permitting.

I have a hunch 5.4.10 is a 64 bit version for 64 bit Debian. I think I remember reading somewhere the latest Debian distro(s) include BOINC but memory is a bit fuzzy on that.

Everything looks normal so far. It's switched between Einstein and WCG properly a few times, completed an FAAH further up, uploaded the result and the crunch report, downloaded an HPF2, worked on the HPF2 and has now paused the HPF2.

It seems to continue OK but the trouble has probably already started because....

... because here it just paused Einstein and immediately below it pauses WCG. 2 pauses back to back with nothing started in between? Huh?? How can it pause WCG when WCG hasn't been running? So it seems the problem started with the previous pause of WCG but we're not seeing the symptoms of the problem until now. Or else you're editing out the start lines and having a good laugh over sending us on a wild goose chase?

APO01, I'm afraid we can't debug an unstable, unofficial BOINC release for you. Wish we could, but it's not practical.

Downgrade to the official stable binary release, and if you still have the problem then we'll rip the source to shreds looking for the cause.

Didactylos, you're absolutely right on the impracticality of supporting an unofficial release. But I wonder if BOINC 5.4.10 is really at fault here.

APO01, try deleting everything in your BOINC home directory, all files and subdirectories, everything, just on the chance that maybe one of the state files BOINC uses has corrupted. Delete all the executables too. Then reinstall BOINC and try again. If the problem persists then you know it's an unstable version of BOINC.

Heh. My solution was designed to get APO01 back crunching as soon as possible. If he wants to continue bug-hunting, or report it to the Debian package maintainers, that's his choice.

I was thinking APO01 might be more attached to 5.4.10 than to WCG. It seems 5.4.10 gets along well with Einstein and that WCG might, in APO01's estimation, be the problem. He has lots of choices, stick with 5.4.10 and ditch WCG is one of them. I would like to help him find a way to stick with both.

BOINC 5.4.10 was available on the stable branch for a little while. However, I now see that it's no longer available. Why they have removed it, I don't know, but they obviously don't feel comfortable making it available for download (it's always available in CVS is you really want).

I would suggest removing 5.4.10 and installing 5.4.9...just to eliminate one piece of the puzzle.
