Humn Proteome Folding - Phase 2 : 'About' webpage : duplicate para

Hello,

This is for the person who maintains the webpage. The fifth paragraph is the same as the third paragraph. I have also provided the paragraph below between '#'s. Below this paragraph, I have provided the URL just to remove any ambiguity in my post.

The project also will focus on key secreted pathogenic proteins. While still in its early design phases, HPF2 will likely focus on Plasmodium, the pathogenic agent that causes malaria. Researchers hope that higher resolution structure predictions for the proteins that malaria secretes will serve as bioinformatics infrastructure for researchers who are working hard around the world to understand the complex interaction between human hosts and malaria parasites. While there are few silver bullets, and biology is one of the most complicated subjects on earth, researchers believe that this work will help it understand elements of this host-pathogen interaction or at least its components. Researchers will provide their findings as a resource to the scientific community and then work with the community on visualizing, using and refining the data. This understanding could then be a foundation for intervention.

Thanks skkiran,
That makes 2 of us who have reported it. I sent in a report Friday about 7 PM my time. I also pontificated about the difference between preventive (used as an adjective) and a preventative (used as a noun).

Here's to the nitpickers of the world!

The world would be a poorer place (though happier) without us!

Some of the americanisms make my skin crawl....sometimes i think G Dubbaya is a reincarnation of Caroll O'conner aka Archie Bunker...the president talks like that, so its okay.

On double posts of paragraphs, i thought the same thing and wanted to let it go in a mellow moment, when reading all the announcements on HPF2 where one of the community advisors, verbatim copied a whole section (3 para's) from the troubleshoot instructions into his/her post, without identifying it as an excerpt....pretty boring to read same thing twice, when it was hyperlinked at the top of his/hers.

Good point, Sekerob!

I'll go back and edit that post with quotes. I was feeling pretty sleepy when I did that.
