HPF Queue Exhausted?

Just sent a batch of results up and was greeted with the following...

14/06/2006 23:23:14|World Community Grid|Message from server: No work sent
14/06/2006 23:23:14|World Community Grid|Message from server: (There was work but not for the projects you have allowed. Please check your settings on the website.)
14/06/2006 23:23:14|World Community Grid|Message from server: (won't finish in time) Computer on 69.4% of time, BOINC on 97.4% of that, this project gets 100.0% of that
14/06/2006 23:23:14|World Community Grid|No work from project

Do I need to switch to FAAH or will new WU's become available? Hate to see my systems idle....

Re: HPF Queue Exhausted?

Dont know..had 6 GUxxxx in a row, 2 left to do, long once. My machine alternates (strictly WCG controlled) between HPF and FAAH....after the last 2 HPF have 4 FAAH to do good for the next 48 hours or so.

What you can do is go to your profile and make sure all projects are checked marked. That way when there isn't work for one project you'll have work from the other project.
Also if your running BOINC and the WCG GRID you can go to the BOINC site to make it so BOINC is only using 50% of your computer memory. That way you can run BOINC and the WCG GRID at the same time.

Re: HPF Queue Exhausted?

Last we heard, there was still a couple of weeks of HPF1 work left in the queue. It is possible we ran out unexpectedly, but it's more likely to be a temporary issue.

We are very close to the end of HPF1 now. HPF2 will be launching soon. Perhaps keep a slightly closer than normal eye on BOINC and the forums for the next few weeks. As I understand it, you will automatically be opted in to the new project.

Re: HPF Queue Exhausted?

There is still work for HPF1 available on both UD and BOINC. I am investigating what happened. There is work assigned to all of your computers so your computers should still be processing work. Can you take a look at the computer that got that message and let me know if it has downloaded work since then?

Also - if you could give me the host id for your computer that got that message it would help my investigation (you have a number of computers - all very fast!).

thanks,
Kevin
