UD Agent and BOINC Agent in parallel ??
I have installed the UD Agent and now newly the BOINC Agent in parallel (just for fun). They use around the half of the idle time. I'll switch at the end to one of them. Now my question: Are the working on the same or on different workunits ? If this would be different WU's than I can get around the 1 WU at a time and I can be longer offline. Any information about ? I believe to have read, that the batches for the same proteins are differently prepared v.v. UD and BOINC, but FAAH = FAAH and Rosetta=Rosetta (HPF). The C.A.'s can confirm.
----------------------------------------When running BOINC you can cache as many hours/days of work, maximum 7 as it will "expire" after that and wasteful extra copies being send out because someone did not return a WU within 7 days. UD can only use a cache facility thru UD_MON, but as BOINC is much more efficient and only 1 app including the cache settings, i'd strongly recommend BOINC.

Sekerob is quite correct.
UD and BOINC don't share data in any way at all. |
