Please Help!

I know many wise folk pass this way guru's in the ways of IIS6 no less.

May I submit a humble request to save my sanity wink

I have Dagorath's video podcast at the ready the xml feed is good to go

but the file has a .mp4 appendage and so IIS6 won't dish it up and produces a 404 not found error

MIME types you say....

I have added the mp4 mime type of video/mp4 to the server and still no joy. I have rebooted many times I have tweaked all of the tweakable I have read all the handy webpages on Google on the subject and still no joy, Superb Migraine though biggrin

I know the answer is apache and all i would have to do is edit http.conf but...

Please help

A plea from the south coast of England

Dave, truely mad and it's back to work tomorrow, Autumns

crying

aarrgghh

and again

aarrgghh

I had cured my own mp4 problem probably hours ago which along the way I debugged by changing the mp4 filename into mp3 and it presented it

I thought I had changed it back

Just off to kick my small dog who goes by the name of Penny

AARRGGHH again

Re: Please Help!

Yes, when you get a 404 the smart thing to do is go looking for the file and check the name. So often it's the last thing we check...

Cheers D

The 404 in the first place was definitely mime but most of the remaining pain was self inflicted

I did add the mime type in complete silence though. I've been stuck inside that glass box for a while wink
