How about showing the number of ACTIVE users online everday? Maybe, a little bit more bearing where the projects are heading if possible? Efficiency(nonactive users/active users)? Recruitment rate? Number of new users?

I have to say myself it feels as if things are missing from the statistics...just can't put my finger on it.

You're quite right. The device count and member count are rather misleading. This is going to be addressed when the stats are re-worked later this year.

I'll make sure project progress is considered at the same time.
