It really wouldn't have killed you all to synchronize with the EU, where we (now) enjoy a uniform DST.
Actually, there's no real reason for daylight saving at all. The arguments for it are spurious at best. |

I edited my profile to change the time zone to PST as I thought GMT might be misleading if I needed to talk to anyone (I haven't had to and the time variation doesn't bother me), but before adding this somewhere I did a search on 'daylight savings' since I notice the time I get does not take DST into account.
I was a bit surprised to see all the posts on this subject, and it was also interesting what was said about rules for time zones in different states and counties. This has been very useful reading for me. Thanks all. |

Well, presently somehow someone made GMT+DST equal to UTC so now I would be on a time 1 hour west of me if I choose CET. Had thus to select a zone 2 hours east of GMT in the My Forum Profile. This way, when signed in the time right bottom and the posts I made appear in MY time. The UTC has been an issue ever since the hosting site moved, but in principle your computer will adjust automatically since UTC is a constant. You'll then see the daily statistics updates 1 hour earlier after the switch back.
