You're not alone....there are Software firewalls galore who have problems one or the other with either UD or BOINC agents...Kerio Personal FW locks the front end of BOINC and reported this to Sunbelt (ZERO MESSAGING ISSUE). I say front end, as the back end continues calculation till its finished.

The "trusting the Router" rule is interesting..... how to go about that i dont know...i've assigned it a fixed IP since i'm entirely WIFI...i've already told it which network cards/ip addresses to trust, which reminds me of 127.0.0.1....i'll give that one an add too.....nope, is already there as loopback rule.

One note is worth mentioning: Software firewalls, at least the once i know can eat quite considerable CPU time, though this is not visible in the TaskManager, because its hidden in the UD or BOINC process (i think).....without Software firewall BOINC runs considerable faster...... that said, its worth switching to BOINC. Overall they crunch WU's much faster.....no fancy graphics (which its CPU time), but with its build in cache functions, you're never out of work, even if your ISP takes 5.
