Me Too
----------------------------------------I bought a great deal off them in the early days - when it was possible to talk to someone there in customer service. Then they appear to have sacked all their CS people and it was impossible to get any sense out of them if you bought something faulty. I vowed never to buy anything off them again - companies should not just ignore customer complaints. I also dumped backward BT in favour of Cable TV/Phone/Broadband - so good luck to both companies - they are each in good company. |

Tell me about it!
Between BT, Telewest, NTL and Sky, the question seems to be: "who cares least about you?" They all have some kind of monopoly. I'm stuck with Telewest if I want a decent broadband/TV package. But just recently, I have noticed an improvement in their customer service. Both times I've had problems, they were able to book a technician next day. The first time, it was a network problem, and they called to cancel the appointment. The second time, the tech fixed the problem without the usual inane questions and miscommunication. So, things are looking up. I just wish they'd stop putting ads* through my door. (* Offer only available to new customers) |

Don't get me started on Sky
----------------------------------------How long have you got? The highlight of all of their fiasco's along the way was when we moved house and we wanted the dish re-installing in our new house. We waited in all day no sign of them. We rang customer support after the usual 3 hours of Vivaldi (They have ruined the 4 seasons) they said where have you been we've been knocking on your door all day. They had gone to our old address!!! How about the time they ceased our service on New Years day and blamed it on the snow. Only for us to find out later it was because the former occupiers of our house had asked for their service to be terminated at a different address. How about the 5 different digiboxes we had in the first few weeks of the service before we got one that would work. How about having booked a Movie on a Saturday night we were left with a great big banner through the movie page . When we rang up to see if we could watch the next run of the Movie we were told "Sorry you can't do that you are already watching a movie!!" How about the time they said they would send a cheque to say they were sorry which never turned up. How about the time ....... In all of this we have always been early adopters and have paid through the nose for the privilege. That said Sky+ is No1 in my book for technology that just works like it should. No2 is TomTom Sat Nav. My PC might be third. £300 they want now for HD - that brochure just sits on the Coffee Table Didactylos I worked for 10 Weeks at NT(HEL)L they are the only company to "Let me go" you have my deepest sympathies. They have merged with Telewest and Virgin now have a stake - which brand name would you choose - watch this space. Did I mention the time only ITV1 and ITV2 had problems with freeze framing. They had me crawling around the back of the tele checking cables while I asked them are both those channels on the same transponder on your Satellite? You know what the answer was LOL BTW how many of you are suffering from Orange Upgrade Fever. I upgraded my phone to one of those C600 Windows dodars about a month ago and now get 10% off my bill.. Not a day goes by now without my Moby ringing and some (nice young individual) offering me an upgrade to my phone and 10% off my bill I ask you what is the world coming to? My most recent clash with the technological nonsense of the world was with the HSBC (Man I love that bank ) I applied for something online, like you do, all accepted. I rang the other day to find out when it was going to turn up to be told that the online request service for that item had been ceased and as a consequence my request hadn't been processed (LOL) A form is now in the post to me Unbelievable I'm going with the flow now my days of railing against the world are over - there is no point. Thanks for the therapy Dave ![]() ![]() |

get this
----------------------------------------My youngest didn't go to school today as every now and again you know as a parent that your child has run out of steam and needs a top up of ZZzzZZ's to get the best out of their education. I have been harrassed all day by a disembodied digitized sinister lady caller asking where my daughter is. Saying "If you do not give a reason you will be called again" At 9am this morning it called with a cheery "Good Afternoon" you know the nice machine is not even in this country. If you don't answer your landline it rings up your mobile if you don't answer the mobile it sends you a SMS text there is no escape it will still ring you gone 10pm if you haven't responded to it's pitiful cries Why can't a nice friendly teacher or admin person make the call if they are truely concerned by my daughters welfare? Answers on a postcard to.... ![]() |
