WCG has been given a different cross project id...

I've recently started using seti and rosetta again with boinc. Since my old accounts were unable to be retrieved I created a new account and signed up on those 2 projects, the cross-linking worked nicely.

I decided to sign up with world community grid along though, thought it would work out ok, but when I just checked my stats on boincstats.com it appears I have gotten 2 listings, one for rosetta and seti and the other for world community grid.

In profile you cannot manually change the cross project id it seams, is there any other way to fix it so it uses the correct id?

I think this happens when you use a different email address to sign up with.

If one of the techs doesn't see this, you should contact them directly using the "Contact Us" link on the home page.

Re: WCG has been given a different cross project id...

A couple of things to check:

1) Make sure that you enter in your email address in all lower case letters here. The other BOINC projects automatically lower case your email address. We are looking at doing that in order to be consistent.

2) Make sure that the email address you use is the same on all projects.

3) Make sure that you have at least one computer which talks to all of the projects. This is necessary for the 'correct' cross project id to be synchronized.

If I had to bet I would guess the item #1 is the problem.

thanks,
Kevin

Thanks for the replies :), the email adress indeed wasn't in lower case, fixed that now :).
