I recently decided to make a Myspace webpage about one week ago and I have since noticed my counter reads: 200 visitors or hits within a week.
I began to think I should take advantage of this and post the Worldwide Community Grid logo and a brief description with a link to the main page for others to download this great program if they choose. How would I properly implement an acceptable advertisement for such a thing on Myspace? Myspace accepts HTML,CSS and linking in the "About" section. |

Cute. It gets stranger. http://www.scripting.com/2006/04/19.html I just heard a rumor that AOL is going to challenge MySpace, "head on," to be announced in approximately two weeks. I began to think I should take advantage of this and post the Worldwide Community Grid logo and a brief description with a link to the main page for others to download this great program if they choose. This comes up now and then. Speaking of WCG links, another thread states that WCG does not want their logo posted elsewhere. Text links always work, or perhaps they wouldn't care if you used a generic world thingy.

Yes, we're still waiting for an update on the logo thing. The current "policy" is decidedly unhelpful. We want to advertise WCG, not quibble over trademarks!

That still uses the logo, so it isn't a solution.
Besides, we don't want to replace the WCG logo, we want to raise its profile, and use it for all WCG related promotion. |

I update myspace webpage to include the logo and the link. Here is the code to do so which I put in the About me section.
