   Nine Million to the PCRCII! Good show ! ! I do have a Question, though, for those of you in England. Is this restriction real? SEND OUT THE CLOWNS: Circus clowns in England have been told that mandatory water restrictions apply to them, so they cannot continue their "slosh shows" where they throw buckets of water on each other. "Deliberate" violations of the water restriction orders are punishable by a 5,000-pound (US$9,100) fine. "No one else is allowed to fill buckets from a hose in their back garden and throw them over each other," said a Sutton and East Surrey Water spokesman, "so why should the clowns?" (AFP) |

(AFP) Fred - there is indeed a hosepipe ban for most of the south of England (runs as far north as the county of Oxfordshire - which is good as I am 10 miles north of the county line). I guess this wouldn't apply to the clowns running the water company though.  |

Afternoon team and visitors to our thread! More rain for us today! Hi V_R, hi all We're finally getting some rain as well, hopefully it keeps on coming. I found this in a climate report on last month from the Weather Service: THE AIRPORT RECORDED SLIGHTLY MORE THAT ITS NORMAL JUNE RAINFALL IN THIRTEEN MINUTES BETWEEN 3 AND 4 PM WHEN 0.27 INCHES FELL. OFFICIALLY FOR THE 6TH...SLIGHTLY UNDER A THIRD OF AN INCH /0.31"/ WAS RECORDED AT THE AIRPORT...WHICH BROKE THE DAILY RECORD OF 0.08 INCHES...WHICH WAS SET IN 1987...AND WAS ALSO THE MOST RAIN IN ONE DAY SINCE AUGUST 23RD OF 2005. 13 minutes!? No watery clowns here! They throw buckets of dust at each other! |
