I was just having some fun there USA.
I'm here in the states too, but already belong to a different team. referring to the united states as "America" is something that people from many countries do. Technically, isn't Central America considered a part of the North America Continent? |

What are you guys blathering about....?
It's obvious that member "USA" is young-ish in mindset so why waste your time. It's also obvious that No-Mad is trying to be overly intellectual and likes to see his own words up in lights, so to speak. So drop this stupid "Join USA" thread and join the Canada team already...sillies |

Join Canada? Heck, blame Canada!

"It seems that everything's gone wrong since Canada came along. Blame Canada! Blame Canada! They're not even a real country anyway." - South Park movie A perfect example why even people from the USA don't want to join the USA team with quotes like that and that kind of thinking, how embarrasing - lol. Thanks scotts.. |

shoot you're right... I was listening to Cartman and Kyle and Stan, that's where I went wrong.
----------------------------------------Oh, and good job taking a joke there. All that aside... the teams and points are really just for fun. Not meant to be something to quarrel about. When this project is done and the scientist types have some new ideas on curing our ailments, is there really going to be talk about which worldcommunitygrid team did what? Just a thought... now go ahead, get back to the quarreling if you wish. [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Nov 30, 2004 7:07:37 AM] |

It's obvious that member "USA" is young-ish in mindset so why waste your time. Same lack of good reasons that you are wasting your time. It's also obvious that No-Mad is trying to be overly intellectual I can see you trying to raise children: "Put that book down Junior! You don't want to become overly intellectual now do ya??" I'm not inspired to join the Canadian team just yet. It is EXTREMELY doubtful that they will be able to link any significant discoveries to the work that is done via this grid project. The completion of this project will be just a TINY fraction of the overall big picture and it will likely be ran again in a couple of years on a single supercomputer that can process the entire project in a matter of hours and perhaps with a higher level of accuracy. This is really complex but for the sake of the intelligence level of this thread I think it is safe to dumb it down, here, by saying the result of this project will be similar to adding an extra line of detail to every definition in the dictionary...while some of the other lines of detail have yet to be completed by future projects. This leaves us with a slightly more complete definition, but the entire realm of possible uses will still be unknown. It also stands to reason that with this "clearer" understanding of the word may not necessarily make anything "better"...at least not for some time and certainly not until the other protein projects come to completion. ▒▲▲▲▲▲▒ «NMAD» ▒—☼—☼—▒ |

usa - for some reason it bugs me when you make your whole post a link to your team page.
USA and No-MAD, you ought to find a way to battle it out in a less public manner, this is like the crap we had to put up with before the election find a way to work out the differences and work together towards your common goal. |

hj/joatmon, do you know each other? Seems like you are always in agreement and you both post to the same topics and sometimes within an hour of the other screenname posting. It's almost like you are both the same person
