Pls see below message when i run boinc To pause/resume tasks hit CTRL-C, to exit hit CTRL-BREAK 2006-04-10 20:37:51 [---] Starting BOINC client version 5.2.13 for windows_intel x86 2006-04-10 20:37:51 [---] libcurl/7.14.0 OpenSSL/0.9.8 zlib/1.2.3 2006-04-10 20:37:51 [---] Data directory: C:\program files\boinc 2006-04-10 20:37:51 [---] Processor: 1 GenuineIntel Intel(R) Penti um(R) 4 CPU 2.80GHz 2006-04-10 20:37:51 [---] Memory: 510.73 MB physical, 1.22 GB virtual 2006-04-10 20:37:51 [---] Disk: 7.81 GB total, 2.01 GB free 2006-04-10 20:37:51 [---] No general preferences found - using BOINC defaults 2006-04-10 20:37:51 [---] Remote control allowed 2006-04-10 20:37:51 [---] GUI RPC bind failed: -1 2006-04-10 20:37:51 [---] GUI RPC bind failed: -1 gstate.init() failed: -180 what's mean "GUI RPC bind failed",what cause make the mistake? how could correct the error? Thanks. I experienced this exact same problem just last week. Turns out I had a "stuck" BOINC process. This process had acquired the local port and thus the new BOINC process couldn't bind to it. Go into your task list and ensure you don't have another 'boinc.exe' process running. If you do, end the process and restart BOINC.

Try running BOINC directly from the command prompt, without any parameters. This will get you crunching, at least.
Then, check that the RPC service is working. Look in Service Manager and check that the RPC service has started properly. If that's not the problem, then you will have to tell us your firewall and antivirus settings. |
