It sounds as though some of your work units take too long. That does not devalue the many results that you return on time. If it bothers you, you might consider uninstalling the UD client from your slow machine and replacing it with BOINC. BOINC is a bit more complicated, but BOINC Manager keeps track of the Due Date, which would help minimize time spent on work units that are too long for your computer.

I assume that the computer is running 24/7. A Pentium III/400 MHz is probably about borderline. Any slower computer than that or a faster computer running only a few hours per day will not finish most workunits in time but is successful for only part of them. Some are longer. Some are shorter. That's just my rule of thumb.

A Pentium III/500 MHz here running continuously has no problems finishing HPF/Rosetta workunits, but is too slow for FA@H which needs a 550MHz machine. It even has 4 UDMonitor cache slots, since it usually takes 1-4 days to finish a workunit, with a few taking 7 days. They don't show the due date, but UDMonitor does display the download date, so I would know what units would be in jeopardy.

A Pentium III/400 here was recently taken offline due to other concerns. It managed to run two very long HPF/Rosettas in 312 hours and 315 hours, just under the 2 week limit of 336 hours run time.
