Inappropriate language in the forums

I think maybe Bill (Velek) has gotten the point that you just have to laugh at the policy a little. The forum rules are there, and the people who run World Community made them the way they are. My job role on this project is not "Inappropriate Language Editor" - I actually work on the website. If the people who promote the work done by World Community Grid were okay with having inappropriate language on the forums, then I'd happily let you have at it. I'm sure you can understand that allowing that sort of behavior is not good PR, though. As such, it has to be edited.

If there are enough people dissatisfied with the method that has been prescribed for editing inappropriate language, by all means, use the Contact Us link to let us know. If enough people want things to be done differently, I am sure that management will take notice.

Re: Inappropriate language in the forums

You have a prescribed method? :-o

I'm glad you're listening. I'm all for moderation on a public forum. It just has to be up-front and not alter the substance of the original words. So, I shall pass my suggestions along, and take this opportunity to thank you for the job you do. And all the rest of you tireless WCG/IBM employees, of course :-D
