I am unable to install the the WCD agent on my XP workstation. I have downloaded the software to my hard drive and then click on the WorldCommunityGridAgent.exe to start the installation.
The Windows install starts and I get a dialog asking me to Insert the WCG Agent: DISK1 to continue. Has anyone seen this and is there a workaround? Thanks |

That's a strange one.
My first guess would be that you have an issue with permissions. Are you logged in as an administrator, on your own computer? My second guess would be you have a corrupt installation package, or a broken installation of Windows Installer. |

I have never seen this or heard of another occurance of it. Didactylos seems to have somewhat of a lead. Log on as the admin as he suggests and have a go at it. Let us know what happens for future reference.

It's a frequent Windows Installer error, I've just never seen it with WCG stuff. There are a lot of causes, but I can't remember the most common. If scole13 still has trouble, I'll crack open the Installer documentation again.
