applauseapplauseapplause50,000 PC's on all day yesterday for the first timeapplauseapplauseapplause

I nearly missed a trick. I was taken by surprise

Crunchers all give yourselves a pat on the back

The equivalent of 50,302 PC's were on for the full 24 hours yesterday shock

The average (the last time we could tell) was around the Athlon XP 2800+ mark churning out just over 3 Gflops

Together yesterday we put together between us a 150Tflops super supercomputer cool

Throw in a bit of redundancy and we still did 30,266,000,000,000 calculation during every second of yesterday

That's cool

Keep 'em crunching

Dave

(edit because I can't add up properly blushing )

btw that would put us in P2 in the list of the top500 supercomputers at http://www.top500.org

and in P10 if we take our duplication to ensure accurate responses at 5 to 1

double shock shock

biggrin We can only hope! biggrin
Maybe they will bring a few friends with them to join us.
Then maybe one day we can hit the 100,000 computer mark also.
NOW THAT IS A NUMBER THAT WOULD BE NICE TO HIT ONE DAY!
biggrin WOW biggrin
Come on people join the WCG so we can go for the 100,000 number!

2 days on the trot now biggrin

The other side of 50,000 PC again so it's no anomaly cool

100K PC's will come largethunder biggrin let's make 60K is the next target to aim for

that will take a daily run time of 164 years 140 days to achieve

watch out for it - hopefully you never know it will turn up soon

Keep spreading the word and...

Keep on crunching

Dave

What a team - "Team WCG"

Great work everyone! I've put in 5 extra machines today! cool cool
That makes a total of 12 now.

So we should do at least 50,005 today. wink

Re: applauseapplauseapplause50,000 PC's on all day yesterday for the first timeapplauseapplauseapplause

You know Dave your right.
A 100,000 is a lot of computers to shoot for so quickly. Granted we would love to see it happen today, but in the real world it's just not going to happen that quickly.
So I'll settle for 60,000 computer running full time for the WCG for now.
Who know maybe in another 16 months though we can hit that 100,000 mark which will be ok by me. Now that would be one heck of a party for the WCG to have if we hit 1 year from this major milestone.
----
Looks like were started in the right direction already!
Nice job depriens on adding 5 more machines to the cause.
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK EVERYONE!!

Oh no, I won't! Yesterday was my best day ever (13.000+ points) and it looks like I'm going to exceed that amount today. I'm already at 10.000+ today!
I could get used to these kind of scores. biggrin

The Top-1000 is not far away anymore. Hopefully I will be there today or tomorrow! biggrin cool I'm getting addicted to this...

And I finally found a nice team to crunch for.
