Happy weekend all! My BOINC bounced and my PC is even more tetchy than normal. More bugs than a pond at the mo - might take it all back to factory fresh when I get a chance. Right now I should be studying for massive exams. I might go quiet for a bit - wish me luck! |

Nice job boss on the graphic!Question: Has anyone seen the IBM comercials they have been airing in the last week or so? If you haven't seen them, that's to bad. If you have seen them you'll have noticed they have the WCG logo on screen and also talk about us to. Nice work to all!!!!! |

Umm ... is this thing working? ... Perhaps if I press this button ....
Right, now everything seems to be working, I will finally introduce myself as a 'newish' member to MOT. I started crunching about 10 years ago with SETI and then migrated to Grid Org in the hoping that perhaps there was more chance of finding a cure for Cancer ourselves rather than waiting for little green men to enlighten us. I crunched for Grid Org until about a year ago when I got vey frustrated and rather concerned with recycling the same work units repeatedly. (Grid Org officially called it 'infinite redundancy') I then looked around for a more worthwhile project and discovered 'Find a Drug' that had nice software and provided excellent support to all it's crunchers. Unfortunately, FAD folded up last November so I was left to find another project. It was then that I discovered 'BOINC' and WCG.  I looked around for a team that provided good support and the obvious choice was MOT .... so here I am. My four machines are all crunching away and I use 'Boinc View' to keep an eye on them all from my main 'puter. I'm married with 3 kids and my one big passion is Formula 1 motor racing and I'm looking forward to my annual pilgrimage to Silverstone for the British GP for four days of beer, dodgy BBQ's and deafness. (No.. I wasn't the one that ran out on the track dressed a kilt three years ago.)  So there you have it .. a brief and potted history of Martle (a combination of my first and second name). Try a Google search for 'Martle' and see what it comes up with.  |
