I am having a real lulu of an afternoon in the office. Someone sent this to me to cheer me up a little. Thought you folks might appreciate it...

I think it has to be one of those days before it appeals to you!

Re: smile smile Join MyOnlineTeam Today smile smile

Hey Matt -- evening drawing on here. I was out grocery shopping this afternoon and, since I haven't been able to brew in a while, I am nearly out of my homebrew. I picked up a couple of six-packs of an India Pale Ale. Man, this is good stuff. I have to find a recipe for it. I did brew a batch on Saturday. It was an American Pale Ale by style and was a recipe I have done before with some changes. Previously, it came out to about 4.7% alcohol by volume. I added a pound of dry malt extract, and by my calculations, it should come in at around 5.5% to 5.7% this time. Hopefully, it won't throw the hop balance out of whack as it was quite good with my earlier batches. Right now, my airlock is bubbling about 3 times a second, so the little yeasties are happily doing their thing. The problem is, it will be almost six weeks before it is ready to drink, so I am buying beer bottles at the grocery. The nice thing about it is that when I buy the bottles there, they come with free beer inside -- LOL.
