BOINC Manager 5.2.13, WinXP, 1.6Ghz, 512MB, 31G free space
Installed client 2 weeks ago, been working fine until Friday (03/03/06). It had 2 applications pending Ready to report. Allowed it to run over the weekend, completed the remainder of the jobs (16). Now all are stuck in the ready to report status except 2 stuck at uploading. I aborted those 2 and just have those 14 left. Closed/reopened the manager a few times, rebooted twice, same issue. I installed on 9 identical systems (same hardware/software, other ones are working correctly. Cliffs: - 14 jobs stuck at Ready to report status - worked for 2 weeks beforehand |

Have you tried under the "Projects" tab to click on the project "World Community Grid" and then selecting the button "update" on the left?

Ok, tried that...now it states Communication deferred. I have network connectivity, can surf, etc.

Yes, there had to have been some problem with those WU's uploading. Normally, when a WU completes, it will upload then provided you have network connectivity and the servers are available to receive them. They go into Ready to Report status then. However, there's a separate process that notifies the server that the WU is done and "reports" them. Using the Update button on the Projects tab will force that. Also, on the Transfers tab, you can select a WU there and click on the Abort Transfer button if you see the upload is truly hung. Check the Messages tab first though. You may see error messages there that indicate you have a connectivity problem or that the servers are down at that time. Normally, if the servers are down, the WU's on the transfer tab will have a different status. Also, you'll see messages on the Messages tab about not being able to communicate with the server and backing off for some amount of time before BOINC will retry. And as well, on the Transfer tab, you can select a WU and click on the retry button to force that then.
