That's just phase 1a. There's phase 1b all ready to go, and I'm fairly sure the FightAIDS project will continue even beyond that.

What are those phases? What is the difference between phase 1a en 1b? Will there be a phase 1c or just phase 2?
Summarized: Where can I find information about the whole timeline of the project with additional information? |

That is too terse. Once you reach the FightAIDS@Home page, click on the Update notice ( http://fightaidsathome.scripps.edu/news/vol1.html ) to go to the 19 January 2006 issue of FightAIDS@Home News which gives a detailed description of Phase 1A and Phase 1B. Phase 1B should take about half as long as Phase 1A.

From my calculations at the time it was announced that FAAH Phase 1a was 88 per cent completed that each percentage point represented 97 years of processing. At the rate the data is being presently processed we should reach 9700 years (100% completion of Phase 1a) at about March 15th, which is about five days from now.

It really is amazing that we can all do a tiny bit with our PCs and -Together - Accomplish so much.
9700 years of computations... that's some serious horsepower. |

The problem is that your refer to a gif in stead of referring to a web page that actually shows the current status.
The following gif would suggest that the project is 100% done. So, what to believe??? http://fightaidsathome.scripps.edu/images/anims/anim_HIV_Pie_100_16col.gif |
