I think I'll skip sockets 754 and 939 altogether

new AMD socket and motherboards all around - I thank you

I think I'll advance to AM2 and nForce6 and collect my £200 for passing GO

Thanks for that interesting insight into the inner workings of a fine Intel processor Mr Dominic. It's an unusual tack you have taken here I could use more time to fully digest the essential nuance of this exquisitley crafted counter argument.
