We are working on changing the attach process so that it accepts your member name and password rather then the account key. We will need the 5.4 version of the BOINC client available before we can make this switch (this is due in the near future). Unregistered users will still need to register, but existing UD members will just need to enter in the member name and password from the boinc agent and they will be 'migrated' automatically.

It won't affect any mass installs using any 5.2 version the BOINC agent since that version will continue to prompt for the authenticator. The 5.4 (not yet released) will prompt for member name/password. If the mass install is built using a script which does both the install and attach to project by simulation use actions, then it will have to be modified. However, if the mass install is built so that it puts your account_www.worldcommunitygrid.org.xml file into the BOINC directory then it will work exactly as it does today. BOINC will still use the account key internally to identify the user.
