I saw that there is version of BOINC that can run in OSX. Anyone tryed it? I have a couple Macs at work, but in order to run last version I need to upgrade OSX. I wonder if it worth spending money?

Toly --
While I cannot answer your question regarding a BOINC OSX Agent, I am afraid that you will find that the World Community Grid applications (FightAIDS@Home and Human Proteome Folding) will not run on the OSX platform even though you may be able to run the agent. |

Well, it does answer my question. I kinda didn't think about that. Thanks. |

FYI I have a OSX 10.4.5 Mac OS X running BOINC on the rosetta@home project. I wanted to run BOINC on my Mac for the FightAIDS@Home project but it is not supported by WCG at this time So my trusty Mac is helping to find other cures. Al |

My Macs at work still running 10.2.?? version of OSX, so it will require a bit of upgrading to run BOINC. Well, now I can convince my boss it needs upgrading ![]() |
