angry different points / no points

i have currently running two machines on this proteome thing and everything went well till yesterday.

1.) my first computer ran for about 35+ hours on one file and then quit at 65%. no problem so far, thought it was unfoldable. but i didnt get any points. crying so i took a look at the forum and it seems a lot of people are having troubles with this issue (btw. where are the mods to focus all those threads to ONE topic instead of posting the same sh.t hundreds of times?). second i want ONE official statement-thread (read only) what is going on at the moment (patches planned, issue already resolved,...). if nothing is happening here i'm off, because i do not see the point in heating my cpu for nothing.

2.) maybe a minor problem, but why are my 2 computer showing different scores and cpu times?

Re: different points / no points

I too am having the same issues with points for unfinished units not posting. I have 4 machines and have not been credited for 80+ hours of cpu time for units that have not completed. If I don't see some sort of post addressing the issue in the next 24 hours, I'm going to shut them all down until the issue is resolved.

Re: peace man, don't have a cow here hugs

I'm running this on a few machines and this is what I noticed.

Every time your client communicates with the grid, it pulls your current accurate statistics. This happens when you finish a WU and post it to the grid. Now, if one client finishes a WU and another is still crunching, the one that connected most recently will have the correct statistics. When the second one finishes and updates, it becomes the accurate client while the other is one WU behind and so on.

It appears that on client startup, it does not comunicate with the grid to pull your current stats so restarting the client does not clear up the discrepancy.

The stats pages only get updated once every 24 hours at the moment. Only worthwhile to check it once a day.

Hope that helps.
