Good Morning Good Morning
----------------------------------------The old Community Admin Debate In the beginning..... Me, Dave Bell and Lawrence Hardin used to fall over each other helping folks out on the WCG. I set up MOT and Lawrence and Dave joined the team and that's how we coined the tagline for the team as the "Best Supported" because although at the time we were just 7 in number we could tongue in cheek stand by this bold claim. Time progressed RT joined the team, Graham joined the team. The forum crew who helped out folk. We in the early days fought hard for you guys to get more support from IBM and on occasions we for want of a better phrase "Had them over a barrel" IBM then saw what they had created (I still don't think they expected the kind of commitment to crunching that the forum members show today - I think IBM expected for the process to truely be one that ran in the background of your PC) IBM then approached Myself Dave Bell, Lawrence Hardin and a member called Dataman (who wasn't a member of MOT but has since left the scene) who then became Community Admins (Please note the order of these events as they are important) Subsequently Graham and RT were invited aboard. The pseudonyms came about mainly through this kind of inflammatory email accusing MOT of all kinds of misdemeanors on account of our alleged privileged access to new WCG Crunchers which is hogwash (I think this will escape Nelsoc's attention) I've have subsequently resigned as CA and MOT because I am pig sick of the childish whinging that goes on in this forum. He did that to me, he said this to me, it's not fair bla bla bla Take a look at yourselves Note to crunchers all The reason why we do this is to advance research into some of Mankind’s most serious ailments (A big full stop) Now if you need any assistance with this task the Community Admins are here to help. They are here to represent you to IBM, to lobby for improvements to the operation of this great number crunching machine. Please don't start fights with them they are not paid for all of their dedication. It would be nice to have your support instead of miserable mudslinging posts like this one. Dave ![]() ![]() |

Flange in my view, you are the worst Admin, check out some of your "helpful" replies to new crunchers, seeking advice and despite your lengthly reply to my post. You have "tried" to make a clever post but you miss the point entirely! We are all terrible. I feel much better now.Since this thread is getting frothy, why don't I just take some action and lock it. Here goes. [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Feb 9, 2006 3:38:42 PM] |
