Just thinking it would be nice to have a progress bar on the main statistics page of the overall status of this project. The idea of results returned just isn't enough to show us users how far along we have gotten. Someone suggested that each chunk of data being processed is a single protein. However; given that the project info site speaks of ~50,000 proteins to process, and that the statistics page shows ~46,000 results already returned, this would imply that we're almost done. That can't be right. So, I suggest some other info for the stats page, as in processed/raw data percentages, elapsed time, projected time remaining, etc.

The "result" is not a single protein but a set of folding conformations that have been tried on your computer. Just trying all of the folding conformations for one protein would take one computer forever to do. The bigger the protein the longer it takes too. It's likely that they've divided up the proteins into some subset of conformations. Also, the current estimate for the number of different proteins in the human body is more like 30,000. I don't know if they're including post-translationally modified conformations or not though.

right...just as I thought. Still, I'd like to see where all this computing power is going and how fast we'll get through it (I read somewhere that at current membership level, about a year).
