As team captain of the HomeBrewers team, I've challenged the BitBender Tech team, within its team thread and through one of its members -- Phicksus, to a little friendly competition. We're going to see which team can recruit the most new members during the month of February. Any other teams who want to join this contest need to post a reply and list their number of members as of the time they start. ANYONE WANT A PIECE OF ME?
 By the way, it doesn't matter when during the month that your team joins, so long as everyone understands that the contest ends as of the final statistics update on February 28th. We will check the stats and post the results in this thread. The prize is 'bragging rights'.  Here is a link for convenient comparison of our teams. If new teams join, please up date the comparison page and post the new link. The proposed handicap of 20% makes this equivalent to 32 members. And we're up to 35.6 already! Updated comparison - as you can see, all three teams started around the same time. |

What's wrong with the other teams? I'm highly disappointed. Since I joined in November, all I've seen is a bunch of stroking of other members. Multiple congratulations with lots of frilly junk, and stuff like that ... but nothing that seems to me to crack the whip or use the spurs a little bit. I thought I might get things stirred up a bit, and all I can get is two teams to compete????
HOW PATHETIC!!! You other teams ought to hang your heads in shame. Can't even manage to negotiate some handicap/odds? I'm not asking anyone here to join our team. I don't WANT anyone here on our team if they're not a homebrewer or at least a wannabe homebrewer. We're not little old ladies here, like the MOT team ; we're real WARRIORS ... and we're out hunting for fresh meat. Okay ... okay. I've been spending more time trying to recuit teams to participate in our little contest than I have trying to get new members to join HomeBrewers. Well, look out now! I've just opened a fresh can of whoop-azz!

Vulture Central III has 23 current members, with 10 to 14 actually doing anything. It's about time for more, so add us to the comparison....We're the only adult team here, and just became 21 years old yesterday. We can now drink to that.
