Hi there,
This is just a suggestion. It would be nice to have another button on the interface for a log/status screen. I'd like to be able to see a time-stamped log of activities. Here's an example: [Aug-18-04 10:34 AM] Downloading new task from server [Aug-18-04 10:35 AM] Executing primary task [Aug-20-04 11:32 PM] Task completed successfully. [Aug-20-04 11:34 PM] Uploading results to server [Aug-20-04 11:37 PM] Downloading new task from server [Aug-21-04 01:56 AM] Protein unfoldable. Aborting. [Aug-21-04 01:58 AM] Downloading new task from server [Aug-21-04 02:30 AM] Data Corruption error detected. ...And so forth. This would serve to demystify problems with either our CPUs. It would give us an idea as to why tasks abort after a few hours. Also, could we get points for proteins folding work that cannot be completed through no fault of our connections or machines? That would be nice. It would allow my team to remain competitive even in a circumstance where we received several tasks that could not be completed. Points is a good motivator. ME Thinks the only logs the King's got are the ones at the bottom of his toilet bowl.... he does however have a scroll with his thoughts ... and that too winds up at the bottom of the same bowl....
