We don't have a particular problem with racism (unless you count the anti-English sentiments wink )

Teehee! Great to be found!
Do I need a hub of some sort in order to hook the kids boxes up to the grid? Be nice if I could get a little cluster happening here. Great to hear the other boxes are ready. We should have our own party to celebrate!! biggrin biggrin

Re: Im still fairly new at this, but love it!

At least the Scots are upfront about hating the English! Have you got a Romeo and Juliet thing happening with your Scottish Lovely?

We all bleed the same colour no matter where we come from and borders I feel are more often than not political constructs that enable the maximization of profits by tax dodging and capitalization of lower priced goods and/or labour. But besides that people in different places do experience things slightly differently and that is interesting and exciting to me.

Nice to see you people from PC reviewer. I will pop by and say hi for sure!

Are you looking to set up a home network?

Not sure about "Romeo & Juliet" - more like mommy and daddy these days sick

Re: Im still fairly new at this, but love it!

Yes I want to set up a home network and am not sure how to go about it. I have a fairly decent computer and my kids have two little computers and I would like to set them all up here connected to the grid. Im only using dial- up at the moment and am not sure what my first step should be. Can I set up a home network with dail-up?

Ah all the best romances end up like mommy and daddy but it doesn't mean the beauty dies...

Re: Im still fairly new at this, but love it!

Good evening Katie, or is it morning there biggrin

The romance has faded a little - small children have that effect sad but they do have some good points shhh laughing

Home networking is very straightforward these days. First we need to ascertain what we have. What are the operating systems on all the machines to be connwected? Are they in the same room or not?

Of course, if you simply want to have all machines crunching for the greater good, you may not need to network at all.
