Why doesn't the World Community Grid send out some kind of certificate after so many hours of computer time..or points?

This would be expensive and impractical. However, what F@H does is supply virtual certificates on reaching certain milestones, which can be printed out if you happen to care for such things.
Such a feature would be easy enough to implement, all you need is a pretty certificate thingy and signatures from a couple of WCG top guys. |

This feature is on our list. We hope to get it done later this year.
Thanks, |

I believe he creates them as each team mate hits 100K, 250K, 500K and then at each million point increment (yes, some folks out there have more than a couple million points). Here's the one he created for my most recent point milestone: ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Jan 18, 2006 7:08:35 PM] |

That is a seriously nice certificate. Is it just a Photoshop job, or is there code behind it?
I must go forth and honour my team in like manner, for they are Seriously Nifty people. But I will have to code mine, because we are a team of geeks. Of course, if I ask nicely, Illiad may contribute. There are advantages to having a top webcartoonist on your side :-) |

It doesn't end there, tho - not only does he send out the certificate on the day it is earned, but he has a great collection of other team graphics for us to use. I think a fair bit of work goes into maintaining all of this - which is certainly appreciated by his team mates! |

Maybe IBM would like to get involved and place there logo on the certificate as well?? |
