Hi all.
Look,I'm not a person who's usually given to begging for pennies, but this is an exception to my rule. And, it's in a darned good cause. The following is extracted from a post by WARDSTAR, one of our members, in our own team thread. Happy Days my fellow crunchers feel free to visit www.justgiving.com/peterwardwchp - I am sleeping on the street on 28th January to raise money for the homeless charity for whom I work (11 miles away from where our Team Captain resides ) and if you wish to make a donation - so much the better! I'm not gonna ask anyone to donate anything. But, if you happen to have a couple of pounds, dollars, yen, roubles - whatever doing nothing, how about considering this young guy's effort to do something really worthy? It's all strictly above board and legal, I give you my word on that. Thanks people, and I won't be troubling you again with this suggestion. |

i see your friend intends to sleep on the street among drug addicts, dealers, alcoholics and who-knows-what-else.
do you know if he will be carrying any type of protection? i would recommend a .38 caliber police special firearm, at minimum. unfortunately the homeless are also frequently beaten and robbed. good luck to your friend. |

Having carried firearms in the service of my country I don't, now advocate the use of such by untrained civilians. But, that's just my opinion. Having carried firearms in the service of my country I don't, now advocate the use of such by untrained civilians. But, that's just my opinion. Having done the same, I am of the same opinion. |
