Agent paused message on Windows 2000 network

hello, i have a 9 identical pc network and 1 pc that is the internet server on a ADSL line.
The server is running windows2000 server and the others windows 2000 pro.
Although on the server the program run, on the other pcs i get a agent paused message. I check all thing reported here http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/viewCause.do but did not help.
do you have any ideas? do i need a specific service pack for windows 2000?
I do not use proxy or firewall.

Here is a similar thread that might be pertinent: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=5290

It sounds as though your networked computers cannot fully connect to the grid server.

Re: Agent paused message on Windows 2000 network

just a reminder that some pc's with 256 MB RAM actually need more RAM to do FA@H, even though they will do the proteome work.

let us know what happens smile

thanks for the answer but the all the computers in the network have access to internet through the internet server pc and there are no restrictions on what they can do (they can watch webpages, download etc).

@Halfcard, i made a new profile with the only the proteome work and i will try it tommorow.
Do the points i gain with the proteonme add with the points from aids?

(Sorry fior my bad english...)
Thanks a lot.

Yes, all the points earned in your member name are added to your total.

Added: Here are the minimum requirements for each prokect: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/help/viewTopic.do?shortName=minimumreq

I am pretty certain that some of the 256MB memory is not counted because it is used for video support or something like that. This could put you just under the minimum memory requirement for the FightAIDS project. If you also specified that you only want to contribute to this project and not the proteome folding, your machine would go into pause mode waiting for the minimum requirement to change or for a new project, for which you have opted to contribute.

you are right my friend, the pcs have on board ram which uses 32MB of ram...
i made a new profile for the to do proteome project just for those pcs.

my last question, does the time and points of the proteome comperes with the aids ones? i mean they need more time? the give more/less points? what?

thanks all of you for the help given.
